The centrifuge must be operated on a rigid, flat, level surface. There must be sufficient free space around the centrifuge for adequate ventilation. On a swing-out rotor, matching buckets must be placed in opposite rotor positions. Check capped specimen tubes for cracks or chips. The centrifuge load must be balanced by placing tubes of equal size, shape, and containing an equal volume opposite each other. Do not overload the centrifuge. Fully close the centrifuge lid. Follow we recommendation for operation. Do not attempt to open any centrifuge
until it has come to a complete stop.
Centrifuge Maintenance
Always unplug the power cord before cleaning or servicing the centrifuge. Wear protective gloves and clothing.
At least weekly, wipe the centrifuge housing, rotor chamber, rotors and rotor accessories with a neutral cleaning agent. Plastic and non-metal parts may be cleaned with a fresh solution of 5 percent sodium hypochlorite (bleach) mixed 1:10 with water (one part bleach plus nine parts water).
Annually or as needed, the centrifuge functions and maintenance verification should be performed by qualified personnel. This would include checking the centrifuge brushes, timer, speed and electrical leaks.
Centrifuge Safety
Do not use the centrifuge if any part shows signs of corrosion, mechanical damage, or wear. Do not use the centrifuge if the interior is hot or if unusual vibrations or noises occur. For centriguge problems, call Client Services, 0086-20-39601885 ex 8 or send email to info@lab-instrument.com.
